Welcome to Black Diamond High School!  We are home of the Miners.  I want to extend a warm welcome to each of our returning students and all of our new students and families to Black Diamond High School. We are excited and eager to meet you, get to know you and welcome you to our Black Diamond High School Family! At Black Diamond High School, we pride ourselves in providing students with a personalized educational plan in an accelerated format that allows students to refocus on high school graduation and the achievement of earning a high school diploma.  Life sometimes brings us many challenges and obstacles that can  lead us off course.  At Black Diamond High School, we support students in working through life's challenges, helping students to process and acquire new knowledge, all while working toward completing Pittsburg Unified School District graduation requirements.

 

Our curriculum, course offerings, and campus culture activities are extraordinary in comparison to many other High schools.  Our teachers work tirelessly at planning lessons that are meaningful and rigorous. It is our mission to create an environment where each and every student is valued and given the attention necessary to achieve his/her individual success while at Black Diamond High School and beyond.

 

Black Diamond High School will have a new start and end time.  California Senate Bill 328, requires our students to begin the school day at 8:30 a.m.  The student school day will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 2:41 p.m. Black Diamond High School community will be sharing what we are doing, as well as setting goals and celebrating our students’ accomplishments.  I encourage you throughout the school year to join  us  to learn how to be a part of your child’s education.   I am looking forward to partnering with you this year.
